The Opportunity

Portland Tractor Inc. is looking for a Dismantler to join our team in Washougal, Washington. As the Dismantler you will safely dismantle heavy equipment using hand and power tools, rigging equipment, and lifting gear.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

As the Dismantler your key responsibilities will include:

• Dismantle heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner
• Follow safety rules and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures
• Wear required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) as needed
• Use rigging equipment and lifting gear to safely remove and transport components
• Use pin presses, hammers and jacks to remove attachments and frames from machinery
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area at all times
• Communicate with management on job completion and assignments

Required Skills & Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:

• Prior experience in equipment service and maintenance is strongly preferred
• Enrollment in or completion of a trade or vocational school considered an asset
• Must own hand and power tools needed to complete machine dismantling tasks
• Strong mechanical ability
• Ability to follow factory processes for dismantling equipment
• Strong mechanical ability
• A willingness to complete required training
• Ability to work overtime and weekends when needed
• High school diploma or equivalent required

The base pay range for this role is: $18.00 to $22.00 per hour depending on experience.

This is an onsite role based in Washougal, Washington.
