The XGS Dispatcher Supervisor has the primary responsibility of dispatching drivers at the Service Center.
Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Dispatch drivers on city deliveries and backhauls
- Answering daily phone calls for Customer p/u request
- Communicate with drivers, customers, and customer service daily
- Scheduling and setting up local LTL city routes
- Answering all e mails in a timely manner
- Responsible for daily city planning
- Setting up deliveries and returns daily
- Send daily City Hours to management Samsara / Tracking Drivers and equipment
- Ensure all trailers are entered and carried in Dispatch Planner Sheet
- Daily Cheetah Responsible for daily and next day city planning
- Set up daily deliveries in AS 400 and research Pros in AS 400
- Other duties as assigned by Service Center Manager
Qualifications:
PREREQUISITE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EDUCATION:
- 2-4 years relevant experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Excellent Customer Service Skills Computer Skills:
- Microsoft Office, Excel, Word
- Good organizational skills
- Familiar with the Area
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Frequently lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 70 pounds; pull up to 100 pounds and push up to 50 pounds
- Occasionally climb stairs, frequently stoop, kneel or crouch
- Use hands and arms to reach for, grasp and manipulate object
- Have manual dexterity to operate a computer and other office machines
- Handle exposure to extreme cold and/or hot working conditions
- Handle average exposure to fumes working around tractor trailers, lift trucks, yard tractors present in the distribution environment

ENVIRONMENT
Most work is conducted in a comfortable office environment but exposure to site conditions may also occur. Personal protective equipment must be worn in all areas as required. Although the work usually is not considered inherently dangerous, we must be careful while performing onsite services.
