Dispatcher / Administrative Assistant - Spring, Texas

Professional Service Industries, Inc. (Intertek-PSI) is a leading US based provider of construction assurance, testing and inspection in civil and commercial construction. Our broad service offering includes construction materials testing, geotechnical services, environmental engineering, industrial hygiene, and specialty testing.

The Dispatcher / Administrative Assistant is responsible for dispatching field technicians to projects daily as well as additional administrative tasks, typing daily reports.

What you'll do:

  • Work directly with subcontractors to coordinate project needs
  • Track field and lab supplies inventory and place orders
  • Answer and direct client calls to appropriate staff
  • Assist with Company Fleet Vehicle maintenance scheduling and inventory
  • Create various documents, spreadsheets, etc. utilizing Microsoft Office software
  • Prepare invoices, follow up with clients and conduct accounts receivable
  • Perform various general office duties, including faxing, copying, mailing, filing, etc.
  • Research a wide variety of information requests
  • May assist with developing, updating, and/or reviewing local operating procedures and/or work instructions

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Two years of adminstrative experience is required
  • Experience is Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to type quickly and accurately
  • Ability to plan, organize, and complete a variety of projects within established standards, objectives, and time frames

Preferred Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Administrative / Dispatching experience in the Construction Materials Testing industry is preferred
