Location: Des Plaines, IL

Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Sunday to Wednesday | 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM (Wednesday is a partial day to total 40 hours)
• Wednesday to Saturday | 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM

Job Duties

• Dispatch drivers for U.S. domestic shipment pick-ups and deliveries
• Data Entry and Customer Service Support
• Notify drivers of pick-up and delivery assignments
• Will communicate with Drivers and Internal staff on shipments.
• Will be required to provide email communication both to internal and external customers.

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Additional customer service, business, or office training is beneficial.

Experience Requirements

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to provide professional, courteous, and solution-focused customer service.
• Experience using computers, business software, and data entry systems.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Commitment to professionalism, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
• Previous Dispatch experience (local trucking / logistics) required - 1 to 2 years minimum
• Experience with working overnight shifts
• Strong typing skills and Outlook & Excel
• Must be able to communicate in English, reading, writing and verbally

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous customer service, call center, retail, office support, or administrative experience is preferred.
• Experience working with CRM software, order processing systems, or customer databases is beneficial.
• Bilingual communication skills may be considered an asset depending on the position.
• Individuals who demonstrate patience, professionalism, adaptability, and excellent communication skills are well positioned for success as a Dispatcher.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to remain seated or stand for extended periods while assisting customers.
• Frequent use of computers, telephones, and standard office equipment.
• Ability to communicate clearly with customers, coworkers, and business partners.
• Ability to perform repetitive keyboard and data entry tasks throughout the workday.
