Now hiring: Dispatcher in Des Plaines, IL

Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour

Shift: Wednesday - Saturday (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM) + Monday - Friday (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)

Dispatcher Requirements and Skills:

• 1+ years of previous dispatch experience (local trucking/logistics).
• Strong typing skills and Outlook & Excel - must be able to type 45 to 50 WPM.
• Possess a strong working knowledge of Chicago's geographic layout to effectively dispatch drivers.
• Must be able to communicate in English, reading, writing, and verbally.

Dispatcher Job Duties:

• Communication with external customers via phone and email regarding order status, shipping information, billing, or other items required by the customer.
• Data entry into Excel and/or the customer's database.
• Dispatch drivers for U.S. domestic shipment pick-ups and deliveries
• Data entry and customer service support.
• Notify drivers of pick-up and delivery assignments.
• Communicate with drivers and internal staff on shipments.
• Provide email communication to both internal and external customers.
