Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and detail-oriented Medical Transport Dispatcher to join our team. In this role, you will coordinate non-emergency medical transportation services, ensuring patients are picked up and dropped off safely and on time for their appointments.


The ideal candidate is highly organized, able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and committed to providing excellent service to both patients and drivers.


Responsibilities


  •  Receive and manage inbound calls for non-emergency medical transportation requests 
  •  Schedule, coordinate, and dispatch drivers for patient pick-ups and drop-offs 
  •  Communicate clearly with drivers regarding trip details, updates, and special patient needs 
  •  Monitor driver status to ensure timely arrivals and completion of trips 
  •  Prioritize trips based on appointment times and level of urgency 
  •  Maintain accurate records of trips, schedules, and customer information 
  •  Provide excellent customer service to patients, healthcare facilities, and team members 
  •  Resolve scheduling issues, delays, and conflicts in real time 
  •  Ensure all tasks are completed accurately and within required timeframes 
  •  Maintain punctuality and reliability in attendance and daily responsibilities 
  •  Ability to work holidays as needed
Qualifications


  •  High school diploma or GED required 
  •  Must reside in New Jersey preferred close to elmwood park
  •  Previous experience as a dispatcher preferred (medical transportation or logistics a plus) 
  •  Strong computer, typing, and data entry skills 
  •  Ability to multitask and manage high call volumes in a fast-paced environment 
  •  Excellent communication and problem-solving skills 
  •  Strong organizational skills with attention to detail 
  •  Ability to remain calm and efficient under pressure 
  •  Familiarity with GPS systems and dispatching software is a plus 
  •  Strong knowledge of New Jersey routes and geography 
  •  Ability to read and write clearly and effectively
