GFL Environmental is seeking an experienced Dispatcher to join our team in a high-demand, fast-paced environment. This role is responsible for communicating with drivers throughout the day, assisting with route-related issues, coordinating service requests, and ensuring efficient daily operations. The Dispatcher will handle incoming service orders, direct drivers, resolve service concerns, and serve as a key liaison between customers, operations, sales, and customer service teams.
The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure. Experience using dispatching or routing software is preferred, as this role requires the use of GFL''s proprietary software to enter ticket information, monitor route activity, and track productivity metrics.
Candidates should possess a combination of office and labor experience, providing a practical understanding of field operations and workforce management. Mechanical knowledge and logistics experience are highly desirable and will be considered a strong asset. We are looking for someone with a solid work history, preferably 10 or more years of professional experience, who can effectively manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of customer service and operational excellence.
