JOB DESCRIPTION:
*Monitor and track the status of all active deliveries and shipments
*Communicate with drivers and customers to provide updates and address any issues or concerns
*Assign and dispatch drivers to delivery routes, taking into account factors such as vehicle availability, driver schedules, and customer priorities
*Coordinate with the warehouse and logistics teams to ensure seamless integration of transportation and distribution activities
*Maintain detailed records of all transportation activities and generate reports as required
*Continuously analyze transportation data to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization
*Provide excellent customer service and act as a liaison between the company and its clients
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
*High school diploma/GED
*2+ years of experience in a dispatcher or similar transportation/logistics role
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills
*Proficiency in using transportation management software and other relevant technology
*Ability to work under pressure and make quick, informed decisions
*Experience using Microsoft Office software
