    Description

    Dispatcher – Scrap Metal Recycling & Transportation
    Location: [Locust Grove Ga]

    M&M Recycling is seeking an experienced, organized, and motivated Dispatcher to coordinate our fleet of roll-off trucks and tractor trailers. This is a fast-paced position that requires excellent communication skills, strong routing abilities, and the ability to manage multiple drivers and loads throughout the day.

    CDL A required for this position -but not a deal breaker for the right person

    Responsibilities:
    • Dispatch and coordinate 10–15 trucks daily.
    • Schedule and manage 4–6 loads per driver each day.
    • Optimize routes to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
    • Track every truck by load, location, and hour throughout the workday.
    • Communicate continuously with drivers, yard managers, customers, and scale personnel.
    • Monitor driver productivity and ensure loads are completed on schedule.
    • Maintain accurate dispatch records, load documentation, and delivery status.
    • Respond quickly to changing priorities, equipment issues, and customer requests.
    • Work closely with operations management to improve fleet utilization and customer service.

    Qualifications:
    • Previous dispatching experience in the scrap metal, waste, construction, aggregate, or heavy trucking industry preferred.
    • Knowledge of roll-off trucks, tractor trailers, containers, and scrap metal operations is highly desirable.
    • Strong understanding of truck routing, logistics, and scheduling.
    • Ability to manage multiple drivers and priorities simultaneously.
    • Experience using GPS tracking, dispatch software, and Microsoft Office.
    • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.

    Preferred Experience:
    • Dispatching fleets of 10 or more trucks.
    • Experience tracking production by the hour and by load.
    • Knowledge of DOT regulations and driver hours of service.
    • Experience working in recycling, scrap metal, or industrial transportation.

    • Must be able to road test drivers ,hold driver meetings and do driver training
