Prologistix is seeking an experienced Transportation Dispatcher for a leading logistics and transportation client in East Memphis.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent transportation dispatch experience
• Strong understanding of drayage, trucking, logistics, and driver management
• Experience using transportation management systems (Trinium experience preferred)
• Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking abilities
• Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-moving operational environment
• Strong customer service and problem-resolution skills

Key Responsibilities

• Assign daily loads to drivers using Trinium, ensuring efficient utilization of equipment and resources
• Coordinate pickup and delivery appointments through terminal websites and customer facilities
• Monitor import and export container movements to ensure on-time service and customer satisfaction
• Provide real-time operational support to drivers and assist with route, scheduling, and service issues
• Generate and maintain daily dispatch reports using information from customer reports, terminal appointments, driver schedules, and operational systems
• Review completed and pending loads to maintain visibility and optimize planning
• Communicate proactively with customers regarding shipping updates, appointment requirements, delays, and service concerns
• Evaluate driver availability, qualifications, and equipment needs when assigning loads
• Review and approve accessorial charges while coordinating with transportation and settlement teams for accurate billing
• Coordinate equipment repair requests and determine when outside vendors are needed
• Ensure all load information, driver updates, and operational data are entered accurately and promptly
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, service levels, safety, and customer experience
