Under immediate direction, provides timely response of customer inquiries up to and including pick-ups, schedules, product orders, etc., and all other aspects of a customer's needs. Dispatches vehicles on a pre-set route for each CSR daily in the interest of efficient customer service.
- Assist Customer Service with customer requests, route changes, rescheduling for pickups/missed stops.
- Provides highest level of customer service to all customers in line with Customer objectives.
- Monitor and escalate CIC's to supervisor & Assist walk-in customers
- Responsible for All Logistics/Transportation
- Understand and review daily the Atlas routing system
- Conduct daily debriefs for all drivers
- Assist with Team Member electronic issues or concerns
- Build and print routes for drivers daily, including but not limited to shipping documents, route sheets, shipping labels
- Dispatch drivers for extra, early service or missed pick-ups
- Create load sheets
- Reviews driver's paperwork (DVIR's, ELD Logs) and DQF files
- Review and updates routes, new customers based on daily communication, reroutes existing customers as required
- Debrief drivers in accordance with written SOP''s
- Complete consolidated manifests for trailer shipments
- Ensures that routes are balanced daily
- Forwards DVIR (Vehicle Condition Report) reports to Transportation Supervisor/Manager for maintenance request
- Assists drivers with problems/issues as issues arise (during the day or at the end of the route)
- Prepares reviews and stamps all manifests
- Assists Trans Supervisor/Manager as needed/directed
- Handle 3rd Party Hauler paperwork
- Track and input DOT hours/ JJ Keller.
- Monitors Company policies and procedures, communicating to staff, as necessary
- Communicate performance standards and objectives
- Monitors operations and work of all CSRs
- Keeps staff informed of current problems, changes, and new developments in the department and company by conducting professional, organized, and participative meetings
- Perform any other administrative duties assigned by management
Required Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or GED
- One or more years of experience as an Administrative Assistant
Preferred qualifications include:
- Two or more years of transportation/logistics experience
- Experience developing routes using a routing software; Descartes experience ideal
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to work safely and carefully to prevent injury to self or others
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Word, Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Ability to maintain a safe and compliant workplace
