Position Summary

we are seeking an experienced, highly detail-oriented dispensing pharmacist to support prescription verification, dispensing operations, patient safety, and multistate regulatory compliance.

Candidates must hold active, unrestricted pharmacist licenses in both Florida and Texas. Licensure in additional priority jurisdictions is strongly preferred. Candidates holding multiple active licenses will receive greater consideration.

Responsibilities

• Review prescriptions for accuracy, completeness, legal validity, and clinical appropriateness.

• Evaluate allergies, drug interactions, contraindications, duplicate therapy, dosing, and other medication-related concerns.

• Perform final verification of medications, quantities, labels, packaging, and patient instructions before dispensing.

• Communicate with prescribers to resolve discrepancies and obtain necessary clarifications.

• Provide medication counseling and respond professionally to patient questions.

• Ensure prescriptions are processed and dispensed in compliance with applicable federal and state requirements.

• Maintain accurate patient profiles, dispensing records, and required documentation.

• Follow applicable controlled-substance and prescription-monitoring program requirements.

• Supervise and support pharmacy technicians during dispensing operations.

• Assist with workflow management, quality assurance, dispensing-error prevention, and continuous process improvement.

• Maintain working knowledge of the requirements in each jurisdiction where the pharmacist is licensed and Pharmacy serves patients.

• Follow all our Pharmacy policies, procedures, confidentiality requirements, and patient-safety standards.

Required Qualifications

• PharmD or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited pharmacy program.

• Active, unrestricted Florida pharmacist license.

• Active, unrestricted Texas pharmacist license.

• All pharmacist licenses must be current and in good standing without restrictions or disciplinary limitations.

• Strong clinical judgment and commitment to dispensing accuracy.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, compliance-focused environment.

• Ability to work on-site at our Pharmacy in Maitland, Florida.

• Applicants who do not currently hold active pharmacist licenses in both Florida and Texas will not be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

• Active pharmacist licenses in additional priority jurisdictions, including AK, AL, AR, CA, GU, IA, ID, IL, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, MI, MS, NE, NV, OH, OK, OR, TN, VA, and WV, are strongly preferred. The more active licenses a candidate holds in these jurisdictions, the stronger the candidate's qualifications will be.

Additional preferred qualifications include:

• At least two years of pharmacist dispensing experience.

• Community, mail-order, specialty, central-fill, or high-volume dispensing experience.

• Experience processing and dispensing prescriptions across multiple jurisdictions.

• Experience supervising pharmacy technicians and improving dispensing workflows.

• Proficiency with pharmacy management and electronic prescription-processing systems.
