Display Designer Sales

Role Overview

Ampa Events is seeking a highly motivated and creative Designer to join our design and

\n

sales team. In this role, you will lead the client experience from initial consultation through final

\n

execution of custom event environments and interior spaces. Your primary goal is to interpret

\n

client visions, translate them into compelling 3D renderings and design concepts, and drive

\n

revenue through consultative sales and relationship building. This position also includes assisting with event installations and supporting on-site execution to ensure projects are delivered according to the approved design vision.

\n

MUST HAVE STRONG RENDERING SKILLS AND ABLE TO PROVIDE PORTFOLIO.

THIS IS A SALES POSITION USING DESIGN AND RENDERING SKILLS.

Key Responsibilities

\n

Design & Visualization:

\n

• \n
• Design & Conceptualization:
• \n
• Create 3D renderings, spatial layouts, and mood boards for corporate events, trade shows, and brand activations.
• \n
• Design custom scenic elements, marketing displays, and stage sets that align with client brand guidelines.
• \n
• Sales & Business Development:
• \n
• Drive new revenue by pitching design concepts, experiential environments, and custom display packages to prospective clients.
• \n
• Prepare detailed project estimates, cost proposals, and scopes of work.
• \n
• Project Production & Coordination:
• \n
• Partner with internal fabrication and production teams to ensure designs are structurally sound, functional, and budget-compliant.

Qualifications & Requirements

\n

Education:

\n

Bachelor's degree in Scenic Design, Interior Design, Architecture, Event Design, Environmental Design, or a related field.

\n

\n

Experience:

\n

* Professional experience in Scenic Design, interior design, spatial planning, event design, or

\n

design-focused sales.

\n

* Experience in event planning, event production, or experiential environments preferred.

\n

Technical Proficiency

* Advanced proficiency in SketchUp, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and/or related

design software.

* Strong rendering and visualization skills are required.

\n

* Portfolio submission is required and should demonstrate design thinking, rendering

\n

capabilities, and completed projects.

\n

\n

Sales Acumen

\n

* Demonstrated success in consultative sales, client relationship management, business

\n

development, or closing design-focused projects.

\n

* Comfortable prospecting, presenting concepts, and pursuing new business

\n

opportunities.

\n

\n

Soft Skills

\n

* Exceptional communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

\n

* Strong project management and organizational abilities.

\n

* Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.

\n

* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a keen eye for color, scale,

lighting, and spatial composition.

Physical & Schedule Requirements

* Ability to participate in event installations and on-site project execution.

\n

* Comfortable being on your feet for extended periods.

\n

* Ability to lift and move event-related materials when needed.

\n

* Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and flexible hours based on event schedules.

\n

Candidate will have a major role in developing the display department. Success will be rewarded with commission and base salary.

Base Salary: Competitive Compensation + Commissions
