Position Overview:
  • As a Desktop Tech, this role will be responsible for the support and imaging of Windows devices.
  • It includes working with many different technologies such as Client laptop / desktops, Citrix virtual machines, and Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), ensuring our systems are secure, up-to-date, and running efficiently.
  • Must possess a strong knowledge of tools used for a remote enterprise deployment of the Windows 11 operating system with M365.
  • Must have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • The selected consultant will aid in identifying and completing assigned project tasks and providing status updates to meet project milestones in a timely manner and must be able to work in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with our technology refresh project (Hardware refresh project to upgrade our oldest model in our environment):
    • Communicate with customers on each step of the process and ensure the ticket is up to date.
    • Pull software reports from MECM for upgrades.
    • Image new machines, load software, and ship out new devices.
  • Ensure that incident tickets are open and updated for all problems and requests.
  • Assist with managing corporate assets relating to hardware and software changes.
  • Maintains inventory of all desktops related IT equipment.
  • Prep equipment for hardware disposals.

Qualifications:
  • Experience in prior Windows OS upgrades.
  • Experience with MECM / software center / client center is preferred.
  • Strong communication and documentation abilities.
  • Prior level II support is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking, analytical skills, and great organization abilities.
  • Familiarity with providing remote support to end users.

Pay Rate: $41 / Hour
