Distribution Center EH&S Specialist – Onsite (2nd Shift)Jackson, TN, USAThe Job:As a Distribution Center EH&S Specialist, you'll be part of our Tools & Outdoor team working as an on‑site employee. Responsibilities include:Reports to the EHS Manager and directly interacts with all departments, regulatory agencies, and the Corporate EHS team.Provides daily EHS support at the Stanley Black & Decker Jackson Distribution Center and assists other sites as needed.Maintains an EHS management system that drives waste elimination, supports an accident‑free culture, and maintains 100% regulatory compliance.Helps continually improve the EHS management system.Maintains site EHS management system plans, including ISO certifications, EHS RoadMap, and regulatory compliance interfaces.Provides guidance and information to team members regarding regulatory compliance related to employee health and safety.Delivers training on mandatory OSHA compliance, site emergency response team, new‑hire safety orientation, and other site‑specific hazard awareness training.Assists in implementing programs designed to improve workplace health, focusing on ergonomics, safe behavior, hazard identification, etc.Ensures compliance with state and federal safety/health regulations.Assists in annual EHS audits and implements audit corrective actions.Maintains current environmental, safety, and security data on the EHS website.Supports leading‑indicator initiatives such as near‑miss reporting, behavior‑based safety, and employee engagement activities.Investigates safety incidents and provides root cause analysis.Monitors emerging safety standards and best practices and assists in implementing related programs and processes.Maintains safety contingency programs for fire, spill, and other emergency responses.The Person:Bachelor's Degree in Health & Safety or Environmental Sciences preferred.3–5 years of experience maintaining an EHS culture in a warehouse environment; knowledge of 29 CFR 1910 standards preferred.Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate with all levels within the organization.Analytical skills with ability to gather and interpret complex data sets.Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and EHS data management systems preferred.Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.Physical demands: regularly stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, lift 10 lb. regularly and up to 50 lb. occasionally; occasional exposure to extreme temperatures.Benefits:Medical, dental, life, and vision insurance.Disability insurance, 401(k) match, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.Paid time off, including vacation, holidays, and personal days.Tuition reimbursement and other wellness programs.Discounts on Stanley Black & Decker tools and partner programs.Salary:The salary range for this position is $46,500.00 – $74,900.00.
