Distribution Center Inventory Specialist IHouston, TX, United StatesJob DescriptionThe Inventory Control Specialist plays a crucial role in delivering our mission and achieving our goals. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date detailed records of inventory using Prophet 21 software to ensure accurate inventory levels in the distribution center.ResponsibilitiesMaintaining accurate and up-to-date detailed records of inventory using Prophet 21 softwareConduct daily physical counts of product and reconcile with system recordsInvestigate and resolve discrepancies between physical counts and system recordsCollaborate with purchasing, receiving team, and other branches to ensure accurate recording of incoming and outgoing merchandiseOversee commercial equipment and collaborate with TMs and customers to schedule deliveriesManage consignment on a monthly basis and communicate with Rheem on salesProcess and monitor Grainger drop ship orders from initiation to delivery, ensuring product specifications, pricing, and delivery timelines are met.Maintain accurate records of all transactions, shipment tracking, delivery confirmations, and invoice reconciliation.Identify opportunities to streamline drop ship procedures, reduce lead times, and increase fulfillment accuracy.Utilizing transfers from branch to branch that are currently in route to ensure quicker processing times.Process Grainger orders from the point the EDI transmission is received.Packing and labeling packages to be processed for carrier pickupCoordinating with FedEx or RXO to schedule pick up timesAssist in other areas of the Distribution Center including, but not limited to, transfers, shipping/receiving, deliveries, order pulling.Perform other duties as assignedQualifications2-3 years of prior experience in an inventory control positionProficiency in using Prophet 21 preferred or other ERP systems, including WWMS, and related inventory management processesAttention to detail and accuracy in recording and reconciling inventory dataKnowledge of SKU management and BIN locationsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsDetail oriented, time-management and ability to prioritize workEffective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a teamFlexibility to adapt to changing priorities and tasks as neededHigh level of integrity and commitment to maintaining accurate inventory recordsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines#J-18808-Ljbffr
