Distribution Center Material Handler

A day in the life at our Roxana, IL (62082) facility

As a Distribution Center Material Handler, your shift blends movement, focus, and teamwork. You begin with a quick huddle to align on safety and production goals. Trucks arrive; you receive and inspect cartons, verify counts, and stage items. Using a forklift or pallet jack, you slot inventory in designated locations and update labels. Later, you pick and pack orders with accuracy, prepare pallets and parcels for shipment, and wrap up with cycle counts and housekeeping. When volume spikes, you jump in where needed and may stay for approved overtime.

What you will do

• Receive, inspect, and process inbound shipments.
• Organize stock and maintain inventory locations.
• Pick, pack, and ready customer orders for shipping.
• Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Assist with inventory counts and periodic audits.
• Keep aisles, racks, and work areas clean and orderly.
• Coordinate with teammates to meet daily output targets.
• Follow established safety procedures at all times.

What you bring

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous warehouse experience is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical, repetitive tasks.
• Basic math competency and strong attention to detail.
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime as needed.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus.
