Are you the operator everyone calls when a tight aisle or high bay gets tricky?
If navigating a Crown reach truck is second nature, you can lift 50+ pounds day in and day out, and you hold a current forklift license, this material handling role could be your next move. It is a temp-to-hire position with conversion after the required probationary period.
Choose your schedule
- 2nd Shift: Monday through Friday, 10:30am to 7:00pm
- 3rd Shift: Monday through Friday, 8:30pm to 5:00am (includes a pay differential)
Picture yourself on the dock
You start with the queue: computer-generated work orders and real-time guidance from your supervisor tell you what to pull, pack, stage, or convert. You package materials exactly to carrier guidelines and any customer instructions. Every label is clear, every ticket lists the job and order numbers, and every manifest is complete. On the systems side, you generate labels, verify stock, update shipping status, and prepare small-parcel shipments for UPS and FedEx, finishing with accurate shipping manifests.
When a trailer hits the dock, you chock it, check the bed for debris or defects, and only then enter to load or unload. You inspect incoming product for damage, verify it against the packing list or return authorization, and position and secure freight properly. Loads leave the building properly fastened because you made sure of it.
Throughout the shift, you keep records neat and legible, housekeeping tight, and safety rules top of mind. And when priorities change, you handle other duties as assigned.
What you'll bring
- 2+ years of warehouse experience
- 2+ years operating a stand-up reach truck
- Hands-on time with a stand-up reach truck, cherry picker, order picker, and electric pallet jack (Crown reach truck experience)
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly
- Forklift certification/license
- Meets all physical demands of the role
Your impact
- Deliver excellent customer service by ensuring orders are accurate, properly packaged, and free of visible defects
- Keep labels fully legible and include job and order numbers on order tickets
- Use on-floor computer systems to create labels, check stock, update shipping status, prep parcels for UPS/FedEx, and produce shipping manifests
- Load/unload with rigor: chock the truck, ensure clear and safe entry/exit, verify product condition and paperwork, and secure freight precisely
- Complete all forms and records accurately and legibly
- Maintain a clean, debris-free work area
- Follow all safety policies and regulations
- Assist with additional tasks as needed
