The 2nd Shift Distribution Center Supervisor leads daily operations, driving performance through Lean principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage distribution center activities to meet production, service, and performance goals (daily to yearly)
- Implement Lean methodologies such as pull systems, standardized work, and flow to reduce waste and lead times
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement using PDCA, team boards, and tracking tools
- Develop and coach associates and leaders to build a high-performing, engaged team
- Ensure safety, quality, and 5S compliance across operations
- Coordinate activities across shifts and departments to align with production and supply chain needs
- Support budget creation and monitor financial targets
- Lead team meetings to address performance and improvement opportunities
- Encourage problem-solving at the source to ensure quality at first pass
- Oversee cross-training to maintain flexibility and operational continuity
- Contribute to value stream mapping and strategic improvement planning
Qualifications include experience in distribution or supply chain, Lean expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
