This role focuses on planning, engineering, and designing electric and gas distribution systems to support reliable power delivery. You will help determine the need, size, location, and timing of power delivery infrastructure while balancing economic, environmental, social, and regulatory considerations. Working under supervision on less complex projects, you will contribute to work package development, field engineering, and post-construction reviews within a collaborative engineering team.
ResponsibilitiesThis position offers a hybrid work arrangement, with approximately 70% of your time spent working from home and about 30% spent in the field within your assigned territory in Michigan. You will use CAD tools such as AutoCAD and MicroStation, along with other standard engineering software, to support power delivery projects. Field work involves traveling to project sites, often in utility or rural environments, where you may walk on unpaved surfaces and carry light equipment or documents. The organization supports a strong culture of growth and advancement, with significant opportunities for upward mobility, including potential progression into technical lead roles within a relatively short time frame. As part of a large, nationally recognized power delivery engineering team, you will contribute to major grid infrastructure improvements and may have future opportunities to support projects in other states. The work environment emphasizes safety, collaboration, and high-quality engineering solutions in partnership with utilities and construction partners.
