Distribution Field Technician

Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Fielder to support utility joint use and overhead/underground projects.

Responsibilities

• Fielding tasks including staking poles, taking measurement, pictures, inspecting poles
• Will use various measuring devices to measure and perform inspection
• Will read drawings to ensure accuracy
• Will update systems and provide documentation to engineers for what is in the field
• Collaborate with project teams and attend meetings as required.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 2 years of fielding experience in similar industry
• Knowledge of design with power distribution and delivery is helpful
• Fielding experience with measuring tools ideal

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Katapult, GIS and other measuring devices.
• Strong understanding of distribution and electric power principles.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Houston, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
