Distribution Integrity Engineer

Erie, PA

National Fuel is seeking an Engineer for an outstanding career opportunity in our Engineering Services department at our 1100 State St Erie, PA offices. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administer distribution integrity related programs to ensure compliance with existing and new regulatory requirements
  • Review and analyze natural gas distribution system data to identify risk factors and system threats
  • Manage integrity programs, and develop preventive and mitigative actions to address potential safety-related conditions and reduce overall risk.
  • Perform engineering analysis on pipeline risk models, operational history, and GIS (Geographic Information Systems) data.
  • Support regulatory functions, including gap analyses, pipeline failure investigations, and developing written reports, and agency audits.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, proven technical abilities and strong computer skills, including advanced Excel skills
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills to handle multiple competing priorities
  • Analytical mindset to interpret data and apply engineering principles to develop innovative solutions to real world problems
  • Collaborative self-starter who excels both independently as well as within a team environment
  • Willingness to travel throughout service territory as required
  • High self-motivation to drive projects forward with minimal supervision

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior pipeline or project management experience is desired but not required

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

The base salary range for this position is $62,500 - $98,000

This job posting contains a pay range, which represents the range of pay that National Fuel believes, in good faith, at the time of this posting that it might be willing to pay for the posted job. The specific base pay offered to a successful applicant will be based primarily on relevant professional experience. Other components that may be considered include: individual qualifications, licensures, industry specific experience, education and market demands for specialized skills. The pay range is subject to change at any time based on various internal and external factors. Exempt positions will also be eligible for an Annual Cash Bonus Plan.
