Distribution Laborer - Non-CDL
CITY OF LACONIA-IMMEDIATE OPENING LACONIA WATER DEPARTMENT DISTRIBUTION LABORER (Non-CDL) The Laconia Water Department has an immediate opening for a Laborer on the Distribution crew. The Laborer performs various tasks including relaying water mains, inspections of meters and water services, water main, service, and hydrant repairs, general property maintenance, and other tasks as assigned. This is a permanent full-time year-round position with benefits. The successful candidate will be: Physically fit and able to perform manual work relaying water mains and changing water meters, etc. Mechanical knowledge and ability to perform maintenance on general small equipment is preferred. In possession of a valid drivers license. In possession of a State of NH Grade I Distribution License or able to obtain one within 1-year of hire. Laconia Water will pay the cost of necessary courses and reimburse for a passing test score. High School diploma or GED required Live within a 30-minute commute to Laconia Water Department for on-call response. On call for service calls and emergencies. The salary range is $21.32- $27.00 per hour. Starting rate is based on experience and qualifications. Benefits include medical insurance, paid vacation, personal and sick time, paid holidays, and inclusion in the NH Retirement System.
