Position Summary

The Distribution Manager is responsible for leading and managing distribution operations. This role ensures the accurate and timely processing and shipment of customer orders, maintaining a high standard of service and efficiency throughout the distribution lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Distribution teams to ensure orders are fulfilled and shipped accurately and on time.
  • Drive process improvements to enhance fulfillment speed, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Monitor distribution workflow and order processing systems to ensure service-level expectations are met.
  • Oversee staffing levels, scheduling, and performance of all distribution employees, including full-time and temporary team members.
  • Create, update, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to distribution operations.
  • Ensure team adherence to company safety practices and cleanliness standards in distribution work areas.
  • Partner cross-functionally with the rest of the Operations and Customer Success teams to align distribution priorities.
  • Provide daily and weekly reporting on order volumes, team performance, and distribution metrics.
  • Identify and resolve issues that may cause delays in order distribution.
  • May perform special projects and other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

  • Strong understanding of applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration requirements and other related safety policies and best practices.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to monitor and maintain records and inventory.

Required Education And Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in leading teams in industrial environments, with a strong preference for a background in customized manufacturing solutions.

  • Must be able to work in hot and cold climates
  • Varying work schedules based on business need are sometimes required
  • Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Ability to operate a computer keyboard
  • Ability to read a variety of materials
  • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to carry and lift materials up to 25 lbs.
