Description:

Lead Distribution Operations in a GMP Manufacturing Environment

We're seeking an experienced Distribution Operations Supervisor to oversee warehouse distribution activities for a leading life sciences manufacturing organization. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader with expertise in ERP systems, warehouse operations, and GMP-regulated environments who enjoys improving processes, leading teams, and ensuring efficient product distribution.

What You'll Do
As the Distribution Operations Supervisor, you will oversee daily warehouse and distribution operations while ensuring uninterrupted shipment of finished products and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Lead ERP Finished Goods Serialization operations, including master data maintenance, transaction management, and issue resolution.
  • Supervise warehouse personnel responsible for shipping transactions, Post Goods Issue (PGI), order summaries, and shipment documentation.
  • Manage finished product distribution holds, product returns, withdrawals, and serialized inventory.
  • Oversee finished goods sampling activities and inventory transactions impacting Quality.
  • Coordinate stock transport orders (STOs) and plant-to-plant finished goods transfers.
  • Manage product allocation using ERP Batch Allocation tools following Quality release.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy within ERP Inventory Management (IM) and Warehouse Management (WM), resolving inventory discrepancies and transaction issues.
  • Maintain warehouse material flow and optimize warehouse operational areas.
  • Review, update, and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
  • Develop operational reports, KPIs, facility utilization metrics, and regulatory reporting.
  • Coordinate warehouse equipment maintenance and support continuous process improvements.

Qualifications
Required
  • Minimum 8 years of experience using ERP systems within a GMP warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environment.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse, logistics, inventory management, and distribution operations.
  • Experience with ERP systems supporting inventory, shipping, and warehouse transactions.
  • Experience supporting customer, quality, and regulatory audits.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience supervising warehouse or distribution personnel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including advanced Microsoft Excel.

Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • Experience working in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of serialization, inventory control, and batch allocation processes.
