Distribution Specialist

Truckmen Corp. is currently searching for a full-time Distribution Specialist to be responsible for customer service, fleet dispatch, and data entry for the Truckmen Fleet and select warehouse customers.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED, or high school equivalency certificate
- Minimum one year of data entry experience
- Customer service experience is highly preferred; logistics experience is a plus!
- Ability to interact clearly and effectively in both written and oral communication with customers, supervisors and staff
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook; data entry skills required
Responsibilities:
- Plan the daily fleet schedule in coordination with the ASM based on customer needs and communicates that information to the assigned driver
- Verify drivers’ hours of service to ensure on-time delivery is possible using the Geotab system
- Dispatch drivers and ensure that drivers have the correct information to get their loads picked up and delivered on time
- Determine response requirements for situations such as delays, changes to loads, and record information accurately relative to the situation
- Responsible for data entry of loads and dispatching in TMS PowerPro
- Handle phone, email, and text communication with customers and drivers in a professional manner
- Relay pertinent information and messages to all other individuals or groups requiring updates
- Ensure drivers turn in required paperwork, such as bills of lading and daily logs, if applicable
- Attend morning meetings with warehouse and inventory control workers to review daily activities
- Respond to customer questions, requests, and scheduling needs via email and/or phone calls
- Enter data into Excel and/or inventory software program
- Track shipping and delivery information in logistics software program
- Communicate and coordinate with warehouse staff regarding shipment deliveries, pick-ups, and other related matters
- Maintain accurate information in the inventory software program and other reporting systems
- Type letters or other communications when needed
- Perform all other duties as assigned
