Distribution Supervisor

Description

Join our team as the Warehouse Supervisor at our Mount Pleasant, Iowa distribution center.  In this role you will manage daily distribution center operations with a focus on quality, delivery, cost efficiency, safety, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities 

• Collaborate closely with all RDC (Regional Distribution Center) leadership to continuously enhance departmental and overall operations and meet performance goals.
• Engage, motivate, and lead Members onsite by providing effective communication, coaching, training, development, and utilizing root cause analysis to resolve problems quickly and maintain high morale.
• Monitor and implement improvements to reduce shipping-related damage.
• Maintain a well-trained staff aligned with the staffing model to support current business needs.
• Identify cost savings and drive efficiency improvements across all RDC operations using RCI and lean principles.
• Lead and promote a strong safety culture aimed at eliminating recordable or lost-time accidents, including developing and delivering safety training for all members.

Requirements 

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Operations Management, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of proven leadership experience within a manufacturing or distribution environment.
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications 

• Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to implement root cause analysis.
• Proven track record of driving safety initiatives in warehouse or distribution settings.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to foster a collaborative team environment.
