Objectives of the position include: - receive outage calls and coordinate restoration of service to members. - receive calls during and/or after hours from members to help them with problems or requests related to their electric service. - monitor various cooperative systems on stability of electric distribution system. |

High school diploma or equivalent. Prefer associate's degree from vocational and/or technical school and candidate with prior electric utility experience.
Candidate must: - have working knowledge of metering, SCADA and distribution systems. - have ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with other employees and members. - have ability to read, write and speak English; prefer a candidate with ability to read, speak and understand Spanish. - maintain valid NC Driver License.
Candidate must live within 30 miles of the Cooperative's headquarters (376 Grindstone Rd., Waynesville, NC). |

Position will primarily be night and weekend hours after the competition of the six-month introductory period of training; subject to call-in during major outages or emergencies; and is expected to report to work during periods of inclement weather. Position may require occasional overnight travel and overtime as the workload requires. |
