TITLE: District Assessment Coordinator STATUS: Exempt REPORTS TO: Director of Assessment and Accountability TERMS: 220 Days DEPARTMENT: Teaching and Learning PAY GRADE: AD6 PRIMARY FUNCTION Coordinate and oversee the district's state, federal, and local assessment programs to ensure secure, accurate, and
compliant
administration
across
all
campuses.
Serve
as
the
District
Testing
Coordinator
and
primary
resource
for
campus
testing
coordinators.
Plan
assessment
administrations,
provide
required
training
and
guidance,
monitor
campus
implementation,
maintain
testing
documentation,
and
ensure
compliance
with
Texas
Education
Agency
requirements,
district
procedures,
and
testing
security
protocols. QUALIFICATIONS Education/Certification: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university Master degree preferred Valid Texas teaching certificate, with required endorsements for subject/level assigned Special Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of state and local student assessment programs and requirements Knowledge of Texas Education Agency assessment requirements and testing procedures Knowledge of STAAR, STAAR Alternate 2, TELPAS, TELPAS Alternate, and other applicable assessment programs Knowledge of assessment security, confidentiality, and testing irregularity procedures Knowledge of testing accommodations and designated supports Ability to interpret assessment manuals, regulations, procedures, and guidance Ability to plan and coordinate large-scale assessment administrations Ability to develop and deliver training to campus administrators, testing coordinators, and staff Ability to analyze assessment data and maintain accurate records Ability to use student information systems, assessment platforms, and data management systems Strong organizational, project management, communication, training, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple deadlines and high-stakes processes with accuracy Experience: Three (3) years of successful experience in education required. Experience with state assessment administration, campus testing coordination, instructional leadership, or assessment/data
systems

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 1.
Serve
as
the
District
Testing
Coordinator
and
coordinate
all
required
state,
federal,
and
district
assessment
programs.
2.
Develop
and
maintain
districtwide
assessment
calendars,
testing
schedules,
procedures,
timelines,
and
implementation
plans.
3.
Provide
leadership,
direction,
and
ongoing
support
to
campus
testing
coordinators.
4.
Plan
and
conduct
required
training
for
campus
testing
coordinators,
administrators,
test
administrators,
and
other
personnel
involved
in
assessment
administration.
5.
Coordinate
districtwide
administration
of
STAAR,
STAAR
Alternate
2,
TELPAS,
TELPAS
Alternate,
and
other
required
assessments.
6.
Communicate
assessment
requirements,
deadlines,
procedural
changes,
and
testing
updates
to
district
and
campus
personnel.
7.
Monitor
campus
testing
preparation
and
administration
to
ensure
compliance
with
established
testing
procedures
and
requirements.
8.
Ensure
compliance
with
assessment
security,
confidentiality,
and
secure
testing
material
requirements.
9.
Coordinate
the
receipt,
inventory,
distribution,
collection,
and
return
of
secure
testing
materials,
as
applicable.
10.
Coordinate
student
registration,
data
verification,
test
session
preparation,
and
other
activities
necessary
for
accurate
assessment
administration.
11.
Collaborate
with
Special
Education,
Multilingual/EB,
Section
504,
curriculum,
technology,
PEIMS,
and
campus
personnel
to
ensure
appropriate
student
assessment
participation
and
supports.
12.
Monitor
the
implementation
and
documentation
of
allowable
accommodations
and
designated
supports
during
assessment
administrations.
13.
Collaborate
with
Technology
Services
to
ensure
systems,
devices,
networks,
and
testing
platforms
are
prepared
for
online
testing.
14.
Conduct
campus
readiness
reviews
and
monitor
testing
activities
before,
during,
and
following
assessment
administrations.
15.
Coordinate
the
documentation,
investigation,
and
reporting
of
testing
irregularities
and
potential
testing
security
violations.
16.
Maintain
required
assessment
records,
training
documentation,
security
forms,
testing
records,
and
other
required
documentation.
17.
Serve
as
the
district
liaison
with
TEA,
assessment
vendors,
the
regional
education
service
center,
and
other
agencies
regarding
assessment
administration.
18.
Attend
required
state
and
regional
assessment
coordinator
trainings
and
communicate
applicable
requirements
and
updates
to
district
personnel.
19.
Develop
district
testing
manuals,
procedures,
checklists,
training
materials,
and
resources
to
promote
consistent
assessment
practices
across
campuses.
20.
Evaluate
district
and
campus
assessment
processes
following
testing
administrations
and
recommend
improvements
to
strengthen
accuracy,
efficiency,
security,
compliance,
and
overall
testing
operations.
21.
Adhere
to
professional
and
ethical
standards,
in
accordance
with
generally
accepted
community
standards
and
the
Texas
Education
Agency
Code
of
Ethics.

Develop

to
