Qualifications:

  • Must have the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Must have strong communication and organization skills
  • Must possess computer technology competencies and knowledge of state software applications (EMIS, USPS)
  • Must maintain confidentiality with sensitive staff and student data
  • Must be able to analyze and present data using various software applications, including databases, spreadsheets (Excel, Access, Text Editor, Google Docs)
  • Must be able to collaborate with colleagues in a personal and professional manner
  • Must be willing to attend local, regional, and statewide trainings, meetings, and conferences to stay current in reporting regulations and effectively communicate changes to district staff, and be willing to make necessary state and local contacts to ensure compliance with EMIS guidelines
  • Must be flexible and willing to adjust practice and procedure as changes occur in EMIS reporting and district software requirements

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

  • Directs the delivery and continuous improvement of the educational management information systems (EMIS) for student and staff data, ensuring both complete and accurate submissions
  • Provide support for district student information software (ProgressBook, GradeBook, ParentAccess)
  • Manage district use of online registration software (SchoolMessenger/SafeArrival), working closely with district staff and FinalForms personnel in collecting all required student information for new enrollments and updated student information for all students each school year (back-to-school demographics, emergency contacts, and agreements)
  • Manage district use of electronic communication software (FinalForms), ensuring proper setup within student software (ProgressBook). Maintain and troubleshoot any issues regarding various communications (attendance alerts, school closures, general building updates to parents)
  • Maintain accurate district building demographics and personnel on the Ohio Department of Education OEDS system
  • Assist the Assistant Superintendent in managing staff/student data for state-mandated tests on the appropriate test site (including preparing and loading pre-ID test files, assisting with accommodation and accessibility data, adding new students to the site, removing withdrawn students from the site, downloading test result files, and loading to the district student information system (ProgressBook, etc.)
  • Provide training and support to district personnel on ProgressBook, SchoolMessenger/SafeArrival, and FinalForms
  • Serve as the district student information liaison to Connect
  • Help research, plan, develop special reports, interpret data, and other statistical information
  • Provide perspective and advice regarding emerging trends
  • Coordinate and generate reports for the department and state reporting that may include, but are not limited to, Excess and Threshold Cost reports, tuition reimbursement reports, financial reports, and enrollment reports
  • Coordinate with the Director of Student Services regarding special education data and records to ensure compliance.
  • Supporting the Director of Student Services with administrative duties related to purchasing and budgetary items.

Contract/Compensation:

  • 260-day employee
  • Salary Range, $60,000 to $75,000 based on experience
