Supporting Connected ELA Content Work

The District ELA Content Team Lead works in collaboration with the Math Content Team Lead and the Director of Teaching & Learning to plan and facilitate the district team meetings. They work together to focus on content pedagogy, standards, and curriculum to build alignment across the district. This role leads team meetings and gives ELA teachers a place to do shared learning about their content together. The work with the team to build a plan to share with the respective building teams.

Terms of Employment and Salary

As outlined by and in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement (CBA) of Nine Mile Falls Education Association (NMEA) and the Policies and Procedures of Nine Mile Falls School District. Stipend: $1,955 for the 2026-2027 school year, paid in accordance with the NMEA Collective Bargaining Agreement, Appendix B - Supplemental Salary Schedule.

Work Location: District-wide

Nature and Scope of Job:

Co-lead professional learning for the district-wide ELA team, based on the content and concepts shared at the WA State ELA Fellows Network, facilitating collaboration and alignment with district goals. Lead district-wide content team meetings. Act as a liaison between the district-wide ELA team and the building teams, ensuring effective communication and implementation of content strategies.

Position Reports To: Director of Teaching and Learning

Primary Job Functions

  • Lead instructional growth and curriculum development for the district-wide ELA team.
  • Plan, lead, and facilitate a minimum of three ELA team meetings and collaborate on curriculum improvement strategies.
  • Ensure open and ongoing communication with district ELA teachers and building administrators to ensure goals and action plans are implemented and achieved.

Contract Term: Continuing Replacement Supplemental

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Requirements (Traits, Education, Certifications, Experience, Training, Physical Requirements, etc.):

  • Current Certificated staff member of the Nine Mile Falls School District
  • ELA Teacher
  • ELA Fellows

Desired Qualifications

  • Leadership Experience
  • Advanced degree in Education or a related field
  • Experience with curriculum design and implementation
