Position Start: FY27District Instructional CoachReports To: Executive Director of Teaching and Learning FLSA Status: Exempt Workdays: 230 Essential Duties: 1. Develop, coordinate, and facilitate professional development that supports the implementation of the state-mandated curriculum pre-K – 12. 2. Develop, coordinate, and facilitate professional development for school instructional coaches, administrators, and teachers related to highly effective instruction in all content areas pre-K – 12. 3. Develop, coordinate, and facilitate professional development for school instructional coaches, administrators, and teachers aligned with the districts' strategic plan, mission and vision. 4. Provide instructional support to school staff through classroom observations, data analysis, modeling, coaching, and feedback. 5. Support pre-K – 12 schools in the implementation and evaluation of their school improvement plan. 6. Attend district, GaDOE, and RESA training, workshops, and conferences as needed. 7. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications: 1. Hold a valid Georgia Educator Certificate, Educational Leadership or curriculum preferred. 2. Minimum of five years teaching experience, instructional coaching experience preferred. 3. Ability to work well with students, parents, staff, and the community. 4. Exceptional integrity, commitment to confidentiality, excellent character, and strong professional reputation. 5. Must abide by the Georgia Professional Standards Code of Ethics for Educators. 6. Must be regularly, predictably, and reliably at work. 7. Ability to be present at the physical worksite. 8. Must perform tasks involving prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting. 9. Must perform routine physical activities such as bending and lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds. 10. Must be able to properly and consistently supervise students, particularly during emergency situations. 11. Vision, hearing, written, and verbal communications are essential factors in performing required tasks.
