QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge of: • Standards of Mathematical Practice and current, best practices of instruction, curriculum, professional development and assessment, including multiple ways to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of a range of learners • California Common Core State Standards for Mathematics • IReady or the Aleks programs • Professional Learning Communities (PLC) and Response to Intervention (RTI) • Research based mathematics instructional practices • Targeted student populations and effective instructional practices that support their development Ability to: • Work independently and as part of a team • Motivate, challenge, and guide others in the improvement of educational outcomes of students in mathematics. • Use technology as a tool to support student learning in Mathematics • Plan, coordinate, and facilitate collaborative relationships, activities, and services involving diverse groups of people. • Effectively use time and resources to accomplish project objectives. • Effectively use oral and written communication. • Demonstrate effective instructional practices, strategies and teaching methods.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION Experience: Three (3) or more years of successful teaching experience in math, strong experiences in building capacity and expertise of elementary math teachers, or a secondary person with strong professional development experiences in the teaching and learning of CCSS math. Education: • Holds a valid California Multiple Subject, or valid California Single Subject teaching credential and EL authorization or equivalent. As of January 1, 2025: In accordance with Education Code section 44939.5, you are required by law to provide a complete list of every school district, county office of education, charter school and/or state special school that you have previously been employed no matter the length of service. Please include any part-time and/or substitution work in addition to any full-time employment positions. Failure to disclose any school district, county office of education, charter school and/or state special school that you have previously been employed may be deemed dishonestly in the hiring process and/or dishonesty following termination.
