Job Description:

Watchung is seeking a reliable and experienced Maintenance Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the school facilities are safe, clean, and in good repair.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on school buildings, equipment, and grounds

Conduct inspections to identify necessary repairs or safety issues

Assist with plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC tasks

Maintain cleanliness of school grounds including minor landscaping

Respond to maintenance requests from staff in a timely manner

Set up and take down equipment or furniture for events and activities

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

Previous maintenance or custodial experience preferred

Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repair

Must have a valid boiler license or willingness to obtain one within a specified time frame

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Background check and references required

Working Hours:

6:30am-3:00pm
