Position Overview
District Managers at Ambrosia QSR oversee a designated district of 5 or more restaurants, managing facility upkeep, vendor relationships, budgets, employee and customer relations, operational excellence, accounting, and safety. This role ensures that each store meets company standards for customer service, operational efficiency, profitability, and employee performance. The District Manager works full-time, have open availability, provides leadership, coaching, and strategic direction to general managers, driving growth and maintaining brand consistency.
Job Responsibilities
People
- Recruit, hire, and train direct reports while providing ongoing feedback and constructive performance appraisals
- Lead with confidence and optimism, navigating challenges effectively and performing well under pressure
- Oversee staffing and cultivate leadership development across the district
- Manage the performance of restaurants general managers to ensure business objectives are met
- Build a skilled and adaptable workforce to support company growth
- Conduct regular performance evaluations for direct reports and provide consistent, constructive feedback to drive improvement
- Prioritize employee retention and work to reduce turnover in alignment with company goals
Operations
- Foster creativity, innovation, and progressiveness while being an effective problem solver
- Visit restaurants to ensure both employees and guests experience an environment that reflects the Cultural Foundations of Energy, Engagement, Empathy and Execution
- Understand each trade area to make informed decisions that meet the needs of guests and the local community
- Be committed to regular interactions with restaurant management
- Plan, coordinate, train, and implement new directives, initiatives, and product offerings
- Make day-to-day decisions based on the needs and priorities of the business
- Enforce and follow up on policies, procedures, and behaviors to maintain a safe and positive work environment across all operational levels
- Keep informed on operational and industry trends to ensure the company remains competitive and relevant
- Be aware of operational and industry changes so that the company remains relevant
- Possess in-depth knowledge of operations, policies, and procedures
- Balance strategic vision with attention to detail
- Build and maintain strong, respectful working relationships with vendors, ensuring accountability and mutual respect
Profitability
- Gather and analyze company data to make informed decisions that drive profitability and positive business results
- Manage labor and food costs in alignment with company guidelines, maintaining integrity throughout
- Contribute to the annual budgeting process for the district
- Proactively manage human resource risks by ensuring compliance with all relevant employment laws
- Make prompt, cost-effective decisions regarding repairs and maintenance while prioritizing the safety of both team members and guests
Education and Work Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- College degree in business or related field preferred
- 5+ years of multi-unit restaurant/retail operations and financial experience required
Qualifications and Skills
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Able to successfully pass a background check, including criminal history and a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
- Ensure compliance with all required training as mandated by local, state, and federal laws, as well as company policies, to maintain operational and regulatory standards
- Have reliable transportation, a valid drivers license and all state required insurances
- The ability to travel 50% or more of the time dependent on business needs
- Maintain a working cell phone and effectively communicate via text, phone calls and emails
- Intermediate or higher proficiency in Microsoft 365
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a proven ability to meet critical deadlines
- Experience in a fast-paced office environment with shifting priorities is a plus
- Engage in hands-on leadership with a strong focus on growth and development of people
- Be able to work with, coach, and develop a diverse group of people from different backgrounds and with varying strengths

Work Environment and Physical Requirements
The work environment is fast-paced, high-energy, and dynamic, requiring the ability to multitask and remain organized under pressure. You will be working in a team-oriented atmosphere, collaborating with other members of the team to ensure smooth restaurant operations. This role involves frequent interaction with employees and customers, creating a welcoming and efficient dining experience. The restaurant environment includes both indoor and outdoor areas, and you may be required to stand, walk, and move throughout the time spent in the restaurants. Safety and cleanliness are top priorities, and all staff members are expected to follow health and safety protocols. Flexibility in working hours, including nights, weekends, and some holidays, is required.
