    MUST LIVE in the Baltimore, MD or surrounding region. No relocation. Travel is required, primarily during the business day. Some overnight travel is expected. Company car with gas card, phone, laptop, home-office based, and bonus-eligible.


    Responsibilities:

     

    Client/Account Management

    • Develop and enhance client – partner relationships at each unit in assigned District.
    • Leverage retention activities including periodic business reviews and support the efforts of Business Development.
    • Clearly understand client need and ensure they are integrated into Brock’s program at a mutually acceptable level.
    • Conduct client Business Reviews at least semi-annually and more often if unit program is underperforming.
    • Work with Culinary Department and Unit Managers to keep unit meal programs fresh and interesting.
    • Coordinate with Marketing Department for in-unit promotions, digital marketing, and signage.
    • Identify and/or review areas for improvement and/or program re-set.
    • Demonstrate acumen with food production, waste reduction, food-safety technology and strategy to support positive outcomes.   
    • Assist with contract renewals as needed.

     

    Financial Management

    • Monitor financial results weekly and monthly. Identify opportunities for improvement and areas of concern.
    • Monitor purchasing results monthly and review with unit managers. Identify opportunities for improvement and areas of concern.
    • Monitor food production data monthly and review with unit managers. Identify opportunities for improvement and areas of concern.
    • Identify financial investment needs (equipment replacements, etc.) and coordinate implementation as approved.
    • Review any concerns (food program, equipment, facilities, purchasing, budgets, invoices, etc.) with appropriate corporate resource.
    • Update annual forecasts as necessary.
    • Develop and present budgets and forecasts for each account.

     

    New Business Development

    • Network with clients and at industry events, etc.to identify new business opportunities. Forward sales leads to district’s Director of Business Development.
    • Support client engagement with Director of Business Development as appropriate.
    • Participate in prospective client site visits, assessments, and presentations as necessary.
    • Assist with development of RFPs as needed.

     

    Team Management

    • Manage direct reports against established goals and targets.
    • Provide quarterly performance feedback on both unit performance and individual development goals.
    • Develop talent for future unit or other management positions.
    • Involve Unit Manager in developing client Business Review materials and have them lead meetings where appropriate.
    • Hold teams and individuals accountable for performance standards and results.
    • Oversee unit managers’ development of internal talent for next hourly and/or salary positions.

     

    Work Experience

    • Minimum 7-10 years’ experience in multi-unit contract dining, preferably in education or Corporate Dining settings.
    • Minimum 5 years’ management and employee development/coaching experience.
    • Minimum $5 million in revenue volume experience.
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience promoting and developing foodservice programs.
    • Minimum 5 years food costing and budget management experience.

     

    Education

    • Minimum BS/BA in business, hospitality, or relevant field
