    Spark Car Wash is a high growth, institutionally backed express exterior car wash company serving the Northeast. Spark is growing fast and plans to open a significant number of modern car wash locations throughout NJ, NY, and PA.     Position summary 

    The District Manager is responsible for overseeing all operational aspects across multiple sites. This includes driving P&L performance, leading KPI achievement, developing strong leadership teams, and ensuring exceptional customer service standards across all locations. The District Manager reports directly to the Director of Operations and serves as the primary bridge between the corporate office and site level teams.  This role is 80% field based. 

    Essential Functions 

    • Team development: Coach, mentor, and develop General Managers to ensure strong leadership at every location. Build high-performing teams, ensure the right people are in place, and drive accountability and execution of company processes. 
    • Operational excellence: Maintain consistent presence across multiple sites to observe operations, provide coaching, and ensure brand standards are upheld. Ensure facilities are well maintained and equipment is functioning properly to deliver a high-quality customer experience. 
    • KPI performance and financial management: Own and drive KPI performance across all assigned locations. Lead General Managers in managing P&L performance, budgeting, cost control, and revenue optimization. Ensure all sites consistently meet or exceed operational and financial targets. 
    • Customer service leadership: Establish and enforce high customer service standards across all locations. Model strong customer service behaviors, resolve escalated customer concerns, and build a culture centered on delivering an exceptional and consistent customer experience. 
    • Multi-site leadership: Oversee multiple locations simultaneously, ensuring operational consistency, financial performance, and cultural alignment. Apply prior multi-site management experience to scale best practices effectively. 
    • Market insight and communication: Understand local market dynamics and the competitive landscape to inform decisions. Act as the conduit between corporate leadership and site teams to ensure clear and effective communication. 
    • Change and crisis management: Lead implementation of new initiatives and ensure sustainable adoption. Address customer and vendor issues efficiently and handle crisis situations with professionalism and urgency. 
    • Role model: Demonstrate Spark’s core values and act as a brand ambassador. Provide direction, support performance management, and participate in hiring decisions.


    Requirements

    Mandatory qualifications 

    • Proven experience with full P&L responsibility 
    • Demonstrated success in team development and leadership of managers 
    • Strong track record of driving and improving KPI performance 
    • Multi-site management experience in retail, hospitality, automotive services, or similar operational environments 
    • Strong customer service skills with proven experience leading customer focused teams and maintaining high service standards

    Physical Job Requirements 

    • Physical activity including walking, standing, bending, and handling tools or materials 
    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs 
    • Ability to see details at close range 
    • Ability to work in various weather conditions 
    • Must be willing and able to travel regularly throughout NJ, NY, and PA as required 
    • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record and be able to meet our MVR requirements 
    • Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
