The Luxemburg-Casco School District seeks a full-time Math teacher to support students at multiple buildings. The teacher will support students by assessing students and developing a learning path based on the identified skills. The applicant should have a strong background in scope and sequence of mathematics and a strong background in the RTI process. Must have appropriate DPI license, though seeking a candidate who holds the Middle Childhood through Early Adolescence 1-8. Mathematics minor preferred, but not required.

We are looking for a teacher who believes all students can succeed in a global environment by ensuring excellence in both intellect and virtue. The most successful applicant will demonstrate a passion for teaching mathematics to middle school students; be a lifelong learner; possess a desire to work in a team environment; excellent communication skills; and outstanding classroom management including knowledge of restorative practices within a trauma sensitive environment.

Special consideration will be given to the applicant with:

Experience using Math AVMR

Experience using Math Expressions curriculum

Experience using the CPM curriculum

Knowledge of best practice differentiating instruction, and working within an RTI system.

Offer appropriate and engaging instruction that is student centered

Assess student work to support growth

Provide a safe and secure learning environment

Have a growth mindset and the willingness to be a lifelong learner.
