District Sales Manager - Central and Southeastern Louisiana.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage District Sales Objectives and Implement Sales Plan             

• Meet or exceed Revenue, Market Share, and Volume targets for assigned District.
• Forecast of Volume Sold, Revenue Generated, and Inventory throughout the season.
• Quote prices and credit terms and prepare sales contracts for orders, track stock levels, estimate delivery dates, investigate, and resolve problems with deliveries.
• Achieve desired sales objectives at company approved selling prices and margins in order to achieve profitability.
• Display or demonstrate products and services while emphasizing salable features.

Primary Contact with Service Partners and Customers

• Develop and maintain positive customer and Service Partner relationships.
• Provide product recommendations for new and existing growers.
• Provide training to customers, distribution channel sales personnel, and others in product and product-related features, benefits and agronomic information.
• Assist customers with product and services recommendations, seed drill calibration, and field concern resolutions.
• Organize and facilitate Field Days and Grower Meetings.
• Establish and Maintain relationships with rice brokers and millers

District Management and Interaction          

• Responsible for new product introduction and performance complaint resolution.
• Conduct on-farm evaluations to demonstrate RiceTec products and services.
• Survey crop and verify product performance.
• Prepare budget reports and maintain database of new customers, sales data, and business transactions.
• Communicate the company value proposition to producers, distribution channels, extension personnel, lenders, and millers.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Technical Experience (3 years cumulated - minimum)       

• Hands on experience of today’s digital solutions agriculture with an overall understanding of the agriculture business in row crops.

Bachelor or Equivalent Experience          

• Science or business in the Agricultural related field

Communication skills

• Ability to interpret general technical procedures and create reports.
• Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of consultants, clients, customers, and the general public.
• Strong collaborative nature to work in an environment of multi-functional teams

Analytical skills

• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Suite
• Adept with digital and GIS/GPS technologies with strong analytics capabilities.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed. May require walking level and unleveled surfaces for periodic periods throughout the day including flooded rice fields. Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting as required throughout the workday. Proper lifting techniques required. Must be able to lift 50-pound bag of seed.
