Position Overview:
The Ramapo Indian Hills Regional High School District invites qualified candidates for the position of District Supervisor of Physical Education and Health, Music and Work Based Learning to lead a team of dedicated teachers.
Major Responsibilities:
Assist in the establishment of curriculum objectives and standards for all departments.
Conduct departmental meetings as necessary.
Assist department teachers in the handling of day-to-day problems of instruction.
Act as a resource person for department teachers on curriculum questions.
Manage and evaluate the department supplies, textbooks, equipment, and
supplementary materials.
Maintain an up-to-date inventory of department materials.
Advise the principal on the placement and scheduling of department teachers.
Evaluate teacher performance and make recommendations to the principal regarding
department personnel consistent with Board policy and administrative regulations.

Assist in orientation and in-service training programs for department personnel.
Assist the principal in interpreting general grading and promotional policies.
Attend relevant school, district, and professional meetings.
Meet with other subject supervisors to promote interdisciplinary programs.

Keep informed on educational innovations and trends as they relate to department

Qualifications:
A Master's degree from an accredited college or university.
New Jersey Teacher Certification
New Jersey Principal's or Supervisor's Certificate or eligibility for same

Strong interpersonal and communication skills
