    Primary Purpose

    Coordinate the District testing programming, including state assessments and other districtwide assessments.

    Qualifications

    Education/Certification:Bachelor's degree

    Master's degree preferredValid Texas teaching certificate

    Special Knowledge/Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skillsAbility to communicate effectively with parents, campus administrators, staff, and central office personnel

    Strong familiarity with the Texas Assessment SystemExperience:Minimum of 3 years of experience with test coordination and/or supervision at the campus or district level preferred

    Campus administration, counselor, or district campus testing experience preferred

    Major Responsibilities and Duties

    Know, interpret, carry out, provide training, and communicate regulations relating to the Texas Assessment System.

    Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of testing materials and provide information to the Student Testing Division of any incidents of breaches in security.

    Coordinate and communicate all aspects of test administration with campus testing coordinators by providing training, support, ordering, distributing, collecting, and shipping testing materials, as well as maintaining an accurate inventory of materials received and distributed.

    Coordinate and communicate all aspects of the District testing program including but not limited to State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR)/End of Course (EOC), Interim Assessments, Exam for Acceleration (AE), CogAt, etc.

    Maintain accurate district records of testing and results in physical and electronic files.

    Attend testing coordinator training provided by ESC, TEA, and other entities.

    Other Duties as Assigned

    Working Conditions

    Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent districtwide travel to campuses and occasional statewide travel. Occasional prolonged or irregular hours. Physical demands included frequent standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, pushing and pulling; occasional lifting up to 35 pounds (lifting boxes with text booklets/answer documents, etc.); prolonged use of computer and repetitive hand motions.
