The Green Bay Public School District is seeking applicants for a part time Transportation Van Driver to transport students in a safe and efficient manner. Opportunity to help impact students in a positive way by getting them to/from school or other learning sites.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Promotes efforts on diversity, establishes best practices and utilizes skills to remove barriers for students of diverse backgrounds.
Creates a favorable professional impact on students, parents, community, and other employees.
Maintains confidentiality in verbal, written, and electronic communication.
Refers confidential information to the appropriate person.
Follows safe practices and adheres to safety standards.
Transport students between pickup points to and from schools.
Transports other individuals as directed.
Assists disabled students and others out of and into vehicle when there is no attendant assigned.
Adheres to established routes, designated stops and keeps to assigned time schedule.
Exhibits a demeanor that demonstrates interpersonal skills to relate courteously and effectively with students, staff, administration, parents, and the community.
Takes full charge of the vehicle at all times and reports unmanageable students to the transportation department and principal of the school.
Keeps vehicle clean at all times
Adheres to safety rules when loading and unloading pupils.
Notifies Transportation Department of any mechanical malfunctions and/or safety hazards.
Transports only authorized passengers.
Participates in staff development opportunities as provided by the District.
Performs all other duties as assigned by supervisor.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work involves frequent deadlines under pressure.
Work requires flexibility in adjusting to continuously changing situations.
Work entails a flexible daily schedule.
Work entails physical demands to lift items needed to perform the functions of the job.
Ability to exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally and 10-25 pounds of force, frequently.
