Position Summary:
Responsible for the day-to-day operation of activities, programs, and coordination of building usage. Will organize activities and clubs throughout the school year. The position would also schedule building use, plan events, and support the execution of events throughout the district during the school year.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Responsible for scheduling District-Wide activities.
- Responsible for managing the District-Wide activities calendar
- Responsible for coordinating with schools, and district departments to fully execute events.
- Schedules security, custodians, and additional support staff when necessary for scheduled activities and events.
- Maintain records and organize middle school and high school clubs
- Prepares and manages the high school activities department budget according to the district's fiscal guidelines
- Responsible for managing building permits, usage for special events, or rentals.
- Works collaboratively with the City of University City for youth and community programming/activities
- Maintain records and current inventory of all activity equipment, and conduct periodic safety reviews of all equipment and facilities in collaboration with the Operations Department.
- Responsible for storage, distribution, security, cleaning, and repair of activity equipment

- Ability to keep accurate records.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
The qualifications noted below are required to enable the employee to perform the essential duties/responsibilities of this position.
- Five (5) years of leadership experience in a similar role preferred.
- Event planning or building management experience preferred.
- Possess effective interpersonal skills with the ability to interface diplomatically with teachers, administrators, parents, students, support staff and outside professional contacts.
Physical Demands:
- Sufficient vision to read printed material, see distant objects with clarity, and identify and distinguish objects
- Sufficient hearing to hear conversations in person and on the telephone, and hear sounds clearly up to 30 feet
- Ability to speak in an understandable voice with sufficient volume to be heard in normal conversation and on the telephone, and in addressing groups
- Ability to exert up to 25 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
- This position requires standing, walking, sitting, bending and reaching for extended periods of time
- Sufficient manual dexterity and/or mobility to grasp and/or manipulate objects, operate mechanical equipment, and move about the work area
- This position will subject the employee to work environments that have exposure to weather or interiors with extremes of heat and/or cold, wet and/or humid conditions, high noise levels, and various work related hazards
