Districtwide Instructional Coach
The Tomah School District is looking for a dynamic Districtwide Instructional Coach to lead and support high-impact teaching and learning practices across the district. This key role focuses on advancing Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), strengthening Guiding Coalitions, and building instructional leadership capacity to ensure access to high-quality student learning-every child, every day.
The ideal candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be highly organized, and bring a positive, solution-oriented attitude to the work. Success in this role requires close collaboration with fellow Instructional Coaches and the curriculum, instruction, assessment, and technology teams to promote and implement research-based methodologies that support all learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Instructional Coaching & Leadership: Support educators in aligning instructional practices to district goals, improving Tier 1 instruction, and closing achievement gaps.
- PLCs: Coach PLC teams using the four critical PLC questions; support alignment and effectiveness across schools.
- Guiding Coalitions: Train and collaborate with school leadership teams to drive continuous school improvement aligned with district priorities.
- WiMLSS Implementation: Help leaders implement Multi-Level Systems of Support based on data-informed student needs.
- Professional Learning: Design and deliver impactful PD for teachers and leaders in instructional best practices, assessment literacy, and collaborative team functioning.
- Data Use: Guide teams in data analysis for goal setting, instructional adjustments, and monitoring student progress.
- Sustainability: Develop tools, resources, and systems that scale and sustain success across the district.
This is a full-time position beginning in the 2026-27 school year. Co-curricular coaching and advisor positions are available.
Qualifications:
- Wisconsin DPI teaching license required
- Minimum of 5 years classroom teaching experience preferred
- Background in instructional coaching, PLCs, and leadership development strongly preferred
