We want your knowledge and expertise!Job Summary and QualificationsPosition Summary:Serves as the division's infection prevention officer and primary liaison between division and corporate offices. Aligns HCA Healthcare's infection prevention strategic initiatives within the division to provide a safe environment for all patients, colleagues, and visitors. Leads the development and sustainment of strong infection prevention and control programs across all hospitals and outpatient services within the division. Provides expert guidance and direction to ensure consistent, effective application of evidence-based practice and compliance with regulations. Position will require occasional travel to the hospitals within the division.Major responsibilities, under the direction of the DVPQ or DCMO:Integrates strong leadership skills with advanced subject matter expertise to develop and lead the division's infection prevention program strategy in alignment with organizational goals and regulatory standards.Serves as member of clinical and operational leadership team at division; represents mission, strategy and goals of the infection prevention program across facility, division, and corporate continuum.Builds partnerships across departments to identify and achieve shared goals and integrate infection prevention into broader organizational initiatives.Provides elevated leadership, guidance, education, and support within the division, coaching facility infection prevention and quality leaders to develop and sustain strong infection prevention programs locally.Uses data to assess and identify overarching opportunities for improvement across the division and directs complex quality improvement and research initiatives within the scope of infection prevention.Provides direction for fiscal management of division operations to ensure proper utilization of financial resources across infection prevention programs within the division.Engages with infection prevention staff across all facilities within the division to develop and maintain a unified identity of the infection prevention team. Fosters a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous learning.Participates in selection of infection prevention leaders at facility and division to create and maintain alignment with the HCA infection prevention model.Develops and maintains strategic relationships with each infection prevention team member to ensure they receive the customized support they need to promote their knowledge and skillsets and maintain a strong infection prevention program at the facility and enterprise.Engages in professional development opportunities in leadership and subject matter expertise in order to increase capabilities and model the same behavior to facility infection preventionists and peers in the infection prevention and quality spaces.Provides direction and support for epidemic investigations across the division related to healthcare associated or community-acquired infections and/or occupational exposures. Validates necessary patient safety and risk management practices are addressed following current evidence-based approach and regulatory requirements.Maintains a working knowledge of rules, regulations and recommendations from Federal, State, and accrediting agencies as they relate to infection prevention. Accountability to ensure facilities in the division comply with such rules and recommendations, including clinical reporting.Supports review and delivery of education materials related to infection prevention; ensures alignment with corporate messaging and strategy where applicable.Participates in studies and quality improvement initiatives at the enterprise level, providing input, action, and coaching facilities as needed. What qualifications you will need:Education & Experience: Master's degree in a healthcare clinical or healthcare administration field required.5+ years of relevant work experience required.3+ years of management experience required.Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.Licensure, Certifications, Training: Current state license (required by some states).Current Certification in Infection Control (CIC) required.
