In this pivotal role, divisional staff role, you will lead and oversee the Business Development function for Parker Aerospace Groups Fluid Systems Division, an industry leader in integrated aerospace fuel systems and high-reliability fluid control solutions for commercial and military platforms.

As the Division Business Development Manager for Parkers Fluid Systems Division, you will lead growth across military and commercial aerospace markets, owning the capture of complex engineered products and integrated fluid management system solutions. Overseeing the business development team, you will be accountable for pipeline generation and conversion, bookings, revenue margin expansion, and program capture across OEMs and defense customers. This role orchestrates cross-functional pursuit teams to win multi-year, multi-platform opportunities, expands into adjacent platforms and applications, and builds strategic partnerships that leverage Parkers multi-division technologies to deliver lifecycle value and mission readiness.

Essential Functions

• Develops proposals and contracts to attract the customer and provide an acceptable level of return to the company by researching customer requirements and translating them into development opportunities. • Develops and supports strategies and solutions for contracts opened for re-negotiation during the contract period. • Develops and supports proposals and business development plans for Division Business Units for domestic and international programs. • Determines the need for cross-division teaming and external strategic partnerships to gain business. • Leads and develops a team of business development professionals. • Conducts competitive research, evaluates sales performance, and formulates goals and milestones for specific products and systems. • Applies thorough understanding of the divisions technical capabilities, operational capacity, and market information to influence future plans and strategies. • Serves as the liaison and facilitator with customers and Regional Group Marketing to resolve issues and assure customer satisfaction with regard to cost, product, quality, delivery, and performance. • Provides the customer with liaison support within and across divisions on existing and new programs. • Stays in close contact with division technology and operations teams to enable rapid turnaround solutions. • Develops and maintains relationships with customers to gain knowledge of future market and customer needs and further develop business opportunities. • Identifies opportunities for business development by studying competitors products, problems, market intelligence, and identifying trends. • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing trade and technical publications, establishing professional networks, and/or participating in professional associations and attending industry trade shows and conferences. • Establishes goals and objectives to carry out programs or functions by coordinating all efforts across the division. • Recommends actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making complex comparative analyses. • Acts as prime consultant to management on significant issues. • May provide leadership to others in department or to ad-hoc teams. • Serves as technical subject expert and resource. • Shares specialized knowledge with others. • Represents company on specific projects. • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. • Work assignments may include cross-functional or project team responsibilities, e.g., continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree (BA) in Marketing, Engineering, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. • MBA preferred. • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job, typically acquired through ten or more years of increasingly responsible aerospace experience, including seven or more years of high-level marketing for major customers and/or at divisions with significant revenue responsibility, and five or more years of leadership experience. • Comprehensive knowledge of principles, industry practices, company products, technology, regulations, service capabilities, and policies related to marketing and business development for airline, military, OEM, and aftermarket customers. • Knowledge of program management and business processes and procedures, including technical and business proposal development. • Knowledge of domestic and international customer budgeting and acquisition processes and procedures. • Knowledge of government and industrial procurement regulations and practices. • Knowledge of competitors products and marketing efforts and national industrial business and political interests.

Competitive Compensation
