    Job Description:

    The Maryland Environmental Service has an opening for a Division Chief to join the Environmental Dredging and Restoration Group. The position is located at the MES Headquarters in Millersville, MD. The ideal candidate will develop, direct, and oversee multi-disciplinary services for the planning, design, construction, site management and documentation of projects and facilities, and supporting services for MES clients. The selected candidate should have experience in business development, management of large teams of technical and operational staff, technical writing skills, strategic planning, environmental and project management.

    Estimated Pay Range:

    $124,370.75 - $171,009.33

    Minimum Requirements:

    Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field, plus nine years of environmental, engineering, or marine activities and project management experience, five years of which include supervisory experience

    Experience in dredging projects, hazardous waste management, remediation and projects related to dredged material management, environmental mitigation, restoration and management, and innovative reuse is preferred.

    Must have a valid driver's license with less than 5 points.

    This position will be open until August 10, 2026.

    Any offer of employment will be contingent upon successfully completing required pre-employment screens, to include full background check, drug & alcohol screening, and position appropriate physical.
