The Division Director of Clinical Pharmacy is responsible for clinical pharmacy activities at all HCA facilities within the division to include but not limited to: Clinical initiatives that impact drug utilization, clinical education and staff development, management of appropriate drug utilization, drug spend analysis, and quality improvement activities. Provides support for all clinical activities at division facilities, centralized order entry center and consolidated pharmacy.
What you will do in this role:
• Develop and oversee standardized clinical pharmacy program for division/facilities
• Provide guidance to facilities regarding state and federal standards
• Develop the annual clinical pharmacy business plan that ensures positive patient outcomes and appropriate drug utilization
• Analyze drug spend trends to identify areas of opportunity and implement the appropriate use/development of protocols and guidelines
• Prepare the clinical portion of monthly Pharmacy Key Performance Indicator report
• Maintain effective communication with facility directors and leadership teams on clinical initiatives and facility and division results
• Ensure pharmacy departments are meeting market share goals
• Facilitate the review of division ADE/ADR reports to identify trends and process improvement initiatives
• Serve as the liaison with local pharmacy schools to develop relationships, manage division agreement, and coordinate rotation sites
• Develop and maintain the clinical portion of the division website
What Qualifications you will need:
• B.S. degree in Pharmacy or Pharm D. is required.
• Five years’ experience as a clinical pharmacist in a hospital/healthcare setting preferred
• Previous experience as a clinical coordinator or director in large, complex facility preferred.
• Licensed Pharmacist Required
• Graduate of an approved residency program Preferred
BCPS Certification Preferred
