Are you interested in being one of seven division directors serving as a strategy subject matter lead for Home & Community Based Services within the Public Health and Human Services Department? You would be an active and responsible member of our senior leadership team, directly managing supervisors in the division, setting the tone for policies, programs, and focus while leading local and statewide partnerships. You would be committing to the strategic leadership of all aspects of this functional area.

The salary range reflected above is the normal hiring range for 2025. 2026 rates are currently pending. The full salary range, including longevity pay, is $44.79 - $65.11 per hour.

This position is part of the Merit Supervisory Contract represented by the Arrowhead Public Service Union.

Distinguishing Features of Work

An employee in this class is responsible for providing leadership and direction to the assigned human service/public health functions. Duties include managing a major human service or public health area within the Department; assisting the Director in assessing social issues affecting our communities, identifying core functions, assessing citizen satisfaction, interpreting policies, participating in committee/projects at local and state levels; and promoting and implementing the mission, vision, and values of the Department. The work is performed under the direction of assigned supervisory staff.

Selection Process

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Pass/Fail):

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Masters degree in public health, social work, sociology, psychology, business administration or a closely related field AND three (3) years of responsible supervisory or administrative experience in human service programs; OR equivalent education and experience as determined by the director of human resources.
  • Possession of a valid drivers license.

RATING SYSTEM:
