Position: Divisional Controller

Compensation: $170,000 - $185,000 annually, depending on experience

Location: Boulder, CO

This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. In this role, you’ll oversee core accounting operations, strengthen internal controls, and help drive accurate, timely financial reporting. Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting.
• \n
• Oversee monthly and quarterly close processes.
• \n
• Review reconciliations and general ledger activity.
• \n
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and collections.
• \n
• Supervise fixed assets, tax, and corporate reporting activities.
• \n
• Support SOX compliance and internal control documentation.
• \n
• Partner with auditors during annual audit processes.
• \n
• Improve accounting workflows and reporting systems.
• \n
• Coach team members and support performance development.
• \n
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and requirements.
• \n

Required Qualifications & Experience:

\n

• \n
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• \n
• 10+ years of professional accounting experience.
• \n
• 5+ years of management experience.
• \n
• Strong understanding of complex accounting transactions.
• \n
• Experience with financial reporting and internal controls.
• \n
• Ability to analyze financial data and communicate findings clearly.
• \n
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• \n
• Experience supervising teams and meeting deadlines independently.
• \n
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• \n

• CPA certification.
• \n
• Public accounting experience.
• \n
• Sarbanes-Oxley compliance experience.
• \n
• Background in a federal government environment.
• \n
• Experience with process improvement initiatives.
• \n
• Exposure to complex products or SKU-based operations.

• Experience supporting external and internal audits.
• \n
